Commercial electrical contracting and service
 
The scope of work that falls under the commercial and light industrial guuidlines makes up 75% of total work that Applied Electric, Inc. completes per year.  This includes new construction, remodel work, and continued service and/or repair.
 
New Construction
We have a number of projects we have been involved in including building electrical.  Office remodel, store remodel and more specific installations such as control wiring for building heating and cooling that incorporates a programmable logic controller (or PLC).
  • Custom design and installation of a PLC based control system necessary for the proper opperation of a geosource heating and cooling system.  This system is installed inthe new Olsen Chain and Cable building in Cokato, a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of office space.

  • Store remodel - SaraCura costume jewelry store in Dinkytown
  • Office remodel - Stonelake Title office building.  Seperated electrical to provide seperate metering to the tennant space in the upper level.
Service contracts
We offer service contracts to businesses with a regular need for an electrician.  These contracts provide the business with a peace of mind knowing that they are getting the best deal available.  Please contact us if you feel that this service may be beneficial to your company.
 
Service and or repair
A large percentage of our work is made up of this type.  It includes almost every electrical job that doesn't consist of major building modifications or construction.  This includes, but is not limited to
  • Lighting Repair
  • Ballast lighting retrofits, to provide a more energy efficient lighting system

 

 

The Denka Lift is designed for reaching a working height of 98 ft.  This lift is special

becuase it can be collapsed to fit through a standard 36" door.  Here at the

US BankTower in Minneapolis during a lighting retofit of the atrium light fixtures.

 

  • Addition of light fixtures, switches, outlets, additional circuits to prevent overloading and other common electrical projects.
  • Wiring new machines or installing new outlets for additional equipment installed for production
  • Wiring in hazardous locations such as paint booths
